Vicqui is the Owner/Founder of Valley Growers Nursery & Landscape, Inc. in 1992. She has over 16 years of mentoring students in construction, estimating, and business who are just entering the employment world. She has also employed minority individuals for workforce diversity. For 22 years, she has worn many different hats in the company - from Company direction & planning, Estimating, HR, Marketing, Human Resources, Finances, troubleshooting, problem-solving, Customer Services, Employee Development, etc. She assisted Prime Contractors to know and understand what it takes to get job done safely, on time, and within budget.
Vicqui has served in the Board and an Officer of (NAMCO) National Association of Minority Contractors of Oregon from 2012-2013. She is currently one of the leaders for the (PBDG) Professional Business Development Group, which leads advocacy to minority contractors and professional members. She is also an active member of the (AGC), and other trade organizations. Vicqui also serves on the Board for 'Ladies in Red' a small group in Portland, Oregon, mission of which is to help and provide financial aid and support to different countries who have been devastated by hurricanes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters.
Vicqui graduated in Business Management in Manila, Philippines. She has taken Post Baccalaureate Business Consulting courses at Portland State University. For continuing education, and as holder of license with Oregon LCB, she has earned & taken numerous business and technical courses throughout her career as Owner of her business for 22 years. Recently, Vicqui has graduated in University of Washington's Minority Business Executive Program sponsored by ODOT in June, 2015.
