Executive Assistant to the Director
Piset’s parents escaped Cambodia in a time of turmoil and found refuge in Surin, Thailand where Piset was born. They were sponsored by a Baptist family from Olympia, Washington in 1978 and have called the city home ever since. Piset relocated from Olympia to Portland 16 years ago.
In 2009, Piset began his City of Portland career as a Police Desk Clerk at Portland Police Bureau’s (PPB) East Precinct. There, he provided support to officers and engaged community members. From PPB, he moved to the Bureau of Housing and Community Development (BHCD) as a Senior Administrative Specialist under Business Operations. BHCD eventually transitioned to Portland Housing Bureau (PHB) where Piset continued to grow his administrative experience, supported bureau committees, and worked with vulnerable populations.
Piset joined the Office of Equity and Human Rights in February 2016 and provides business operations support.
Piset seeks happiness by ensuring everyone around him has a smile on their face.
