Temporary Socially Responsible Investing Committee (Inactive Committee)
In October of 2013, Portland's City Council passed a resolution creating a temporary, five-member Socially Responsible Investing committee. Committee members were charged with studying the City’s current investment policy and processes and making recommendations to Council for how the City could change its investment policy to incorporate social and ethical concerns. The Committee met during the spring of 2014, with their final report submitted in July. The committee will present their recommendations and ask City Council to accept their report on August 6, 2014.
