Crime Prevention Training and Events Supervisor Kelly Ball says to Terry McLain:
You were selected because of your extraordinary Neighborhood Watch efforts, which are demonstrated by the success of your watch. Even this year’s extreme weather circumstances didn’t deter you from helping your neighbors and ensuring their safety. Because of all your hard work, Crime Prevention Program Coordinator Katherine Anderson submitted your name for this award.
... and to the Tri-Met Rider Advocates, she says:
You were selected because of your efforts to create a safer environment for all who ride TriMet by using conflict resolution skills and de-escalation techniques. Your group is to be commended for all the help you provide riders, especially the elderly, disabled, youth and people in crisis. Because of your efforts, Crime Prevention Program Coordinators Celeste Carey and Mary Tompkins submitted your group’s name for this award.
