Multnomah County District Attorney Sexual Assault Victim Advocate
Training & Volunteer Opportunity
The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Victims’ Assistance Program is seeking Sexual Assault Victim Advocate (SAVA) volunteers (formerly Rape Victim Advocates) to respond to local hospitals. SAVA volunteers are on-call advocates who provide crisis response and support to victims of sexual assault that occur evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A total of eighteen hours of intensive training is provided at the Multnomah County Courthouse and other related facilities. The upcoming training will be held November 1, 2, 3 and 8, 9, 10, 2016. Each evening session runs about three hours and culminates in a graduation event upon completion.
