HLAA-Portland monthly meeting will be its Holiday Potluck and Gift Exchange on December 19
The Portland chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA-Portland) will hold its December meeting on Monday, December 19th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is held in the second floor conference room at Good Samaritan Hospital, Building 2, 1040 N.W. 22nd Avenue in Portland.
This meeting will be the annual HLAA-Portland Holiday Potluck and Gift Exchange. Bring a friend, spouse, or partner. Anyone affected by hearing loss is welcome. Here's how to participate.
- Choose a dish to bring to the potluck: Main dish, side dish, or dessert, to serve at least 6 people. The chapter provides the plates, utensils, napkins, and drinks.
- Attendees may bring a wrapped gift worth no more than $10, preferably less! Used or new, "regifted" and silly gifts are all acceptable. This is the annual white elephant gift exchange (rules will be explained at the meeting). Unless someone tells which gift they provided, no one will know.
- Have fun and enjoy the company of the other chapter members and guests!
Unlike other HLAA-Portland meetings, there will not be a sound system (induction loop and microphones) or a real-time captioning provider, since it's an informal get-together.
