Humboldt Sewer Repair Project Update: May 19, 2017

DEVELOPMENTS OF NOTE

Crews are scheduled to work this Saturday, May 20, on Kerby-Commercial Alley and on Commercial-Haight Alley between Jarett and Killingsworth streets

  • Crews will focus on spot      repairs and lateral sewer pipe construction in both locations.
  • Additional work on      Saturdays is not scheduled at this time, but may be needed in order to      complete smaller phases before a larger Cured in Place Pipe Lining (CIPP)      sewer repair effort expected to occur this summer.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE

The map posted at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/humboldt shows the anticipated construction locations through June 2. Please be aware that schedules are subject to change due to a variety of factors, including conditions underground, weather, traffic impacts and subcontractor and materials availability.

Residents and businesses should expect periods of inactivity between each phase ranging from a few days to a few weeks. The duration depends on a variety of variables including underground conditions, weather, traffic impacts, subcontractor schedules, quality control tests and availability of materials.
