Tabor Sewer Repair Project Construction Update: May 25, 2017
Construction is continuing on Environmental Services’ Tabor Sewer Repair Project.
This project in its entirety is scheduled to be completed by fall 2017.
There will be construction phases at each location:
- video inspection
- spot repairs
- manhole replacement
- pipe installation
- lateral connection from each building to the curb
- stormwater inlet replacement
- temporary paving
- final trench paving and restoration
The map posted at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/tabor show the anticipated construction schedule through June 9, 2017. Work on each phase will take a few weeks to complete and there will be periods of inactivity between construction phases.
The contractor will apply temporary pavement after completing pipe installation in all work areas. Final trench paving and restoration will occur later as scheduling and weather allows.
Please be aware that our contractor will be taking advantage of dry and warmer weather as it happens for both asphalt and concrete final trench paving. There will be short notice given and street closures for up to a week where concrete is poured.
Areas on the map, marked in gray, are currently not on the schedule or are not completed.
The construction schedules are subject to change due to underground conditions, weather, traffic impacts, subcontractor schedules and availability of materials.
