Tabor Sewer Repair Project Construction Update: August 10, 2017
Construction is continuing on Environmental Services’ Tabor Sewer Repair Project.
This project in its entirety is scheduled to be completed by fall of 2017.
There will be construction occurring in phases at each location:
- video inspection
- spot repairs
- manhole replacement
- pipe installation
- lateral connection from each building to the curb
- stormwater inlet replacement
- temporary paving
- Pipe inspection
- final trench paving and restoration
The map posted at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/tabor shows the anticipated construction schedule through August 25. Work on each phase will take a few weeks to complete and there will be periods of inactivity between construction phases.
A spot repair on NE Glisan at NE 57th Avenue will require night work hours from 9pm to 5am, in order to avoid high traffic volumes during the day. This work is expected to take one night and will occur next Thursday, August 17. A door notice will be posted to the homes in the affected area prior to the work taking place.
The construction schedules are subject to change due to underground conditions, weather, traffic impacts, subcontractor schedules and availability of materials.
