Tabor Sewer Repair Project Construction Update: October 10, 2017
Environmental Services continues construction on the Tabor Sewer Repair Project. This project will replace and repair about 17,000 feet of public sewer pipes in southeast and northeast Portland. Many of these pipes are 60 to 104 years old. This project will protect water quality, public health and the environment. The Tabor Sewer Repair project will continue through the fall of this year.
Over the next two weeks, crews will be completing miscellaneous outstanding items in multiple locations such as manhole repairs, spot paving, and cleaning. The map posted at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/tabor shows current progress and remaining work.
TRENCH PAVING SCHEDULE CHALLENGES: DID YOU KNOW?
Scheduling final trench paving is highly dependent on paving subcontractor availability and weather. Our contractor will be working to secure paving crews during dry weather and will take advantage of unexpected openings in paving crew schedules to complete work as timely as possible. Residents should expect that work will begin on short notice, and there may be street closures for up to a week where concrete is poured.
