Portland Parks Board

The Portland Parks Board, established in 2001, serves to ensure that the vision and recommendations of the Parks 2020 Vision are at the forefront of discussions about park and recreation issues, and trends over time and in all areas of the city. This Board also advocates for parks on a city and regional basis to ensure that parks, natural areas, open spaces, and recreation facilities are advanced in planning and design. The Parks Board provides a forum for public discussion and decision-making about park issues, bringing a citywide and long-term perspective to neighborhood-based issues.

Meetings are open to the public and are generally held in different locations.
Please note the new day and time; the first Tuesday of every month, from 3:00-5:00 PM.

To confirm meeting time, location or agenda, or to contact the Parks Board, please contact Tanya Holmes at or call 503-823-5135.

Next meeting Parks Board meeting is scheduled for:
Tuesday, March 6, 2018, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM
Congress Center, 5th Floor, Room 513
1001 SW 5th Avenue, Portland, Oregon

Due to projected absences of many Parks Board members, including the chair; and to better accommodate the Mayor’s schedule, the February Parks board meeting has been cancelled and all agenda items will be moved to Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
