Join Portland Parks & Recreation, Friends of Mt. Tabor Park and other Weed Warriors community members the last Saturday of every month (March-October), 9:00 AM-noon, to remove invasive ivy, Himalayan blackberry and other species. Wear thick long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and sturdy walking shoes. Bring rain gear, a sunhat and water bottle. Instruction, tools, gloves, water (occasionally coffee/tea) and snacks will be provided. Meet at: main parking lot on Mt. Tabor (next to the basketball court and amphitheater), accessed easiest by the SE 60th & Salmon and SE 69th & Yamhill park entrances.Tri-met bus: #71 to the Salmon street entrance; walk up the road entrance, staying left. #15 to the Yamhill street entrance and a walk up the hill to the right.
