Welcome to our Camp Parent Center! This page is designed to answer questions about general SWCC camp policies and procedures. Please visit Preschool Camps, age 3-5, Youth and Sports Camps, Grade 1-6, Jr. Leader, Grade 7-10, or School Year Camps for information specific to your individual camp. If you are not able to find the information you need, please give us a call at 503-823-2840. We are happy to help and eager for your feedback if we missed something!

Before Care & After Care, age 3-12
To support families who need an earlier drop-off or later pick-up time, we provide Before & After Camp Care for camp & Kid’s Day Off participants. Parents/guardians must drop off and pick up children for Before & After Camp Care in person inside the Center. Coupons are $2.50 each and are non-refundable. One coupon is good for 5 to 30 minutes.
BEFORE CAMP CARE: 7-9am                 AFTER CAMP CARE: 5-6pm

 6-30 Minutes $2.50  5:06-5:30pm

 61+ minutes $5 + $1 per minute  6:01 - on 
  • Before & After Care is not available for campers in Summer Sprouts.
  • After Care not available for half day camps.  
Emergency Forms, Medication & Allergies

Emergency Form:

  • Please complete the Medical/Emergency Form and bring it with you the first day of camp. Your child will not be able to participate in camp without the Medical/Emergency Form completed.
  • Everyone must fill out the NEW form for summer, as we update all of our records for camp June 1st of every year. It is important to us that we ALWAYS have the most up-to-date information on your child.
  • Swimming: Children that are marked on the emergency form as not needing to wear a life jacket will be asked to complete a swim check with lifeguard supervision on the first day in the pool. The child will need to swim the length of the lap pool. Lifeguards look for kids to be able to swim the whole length without getting tired or requiring support from the wall. Children who do not take the swim check, or do not sucessfully pass the swim check, are required to wear a life jacket. A child may re-take the swim check. A swim check need only be completed once for the season. Preschool camps do not swim.


  • If your child requires medicine to be administered or carried with them while they are at camp, such as an EpiPen or inhaler, you will also need to complete a Medication Waiver and a Medical Administration Form. Please complete these forms and bring them with you on the first day of camp, or plan for additional time at check-in to fill them out.
  • All medication must be in its original container and bring only the amount needed for one day at a time.
  • If you have any questions about medicine and camp, please call 503-823-2840 and speak with the coordinator in charge of the camp.


  • If your child has allergies, please notify the front desk at the time of registration. The Customer Service Representative will include this information on the alerts in your account.
  • You should also contact the coordinator in charge of the program at least 5 days in advance so that accommodations can be made where possible for planned activities.

 ADA Accommodation:

  • Within the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) of 1990, Portland Parks & Recreation provides accommodations to individuals with disabilities/special needs, so that they may receive an equal opportunity to fully participate in programs offered citywide.
  • When registering, let the Customer Service Representative know that you will need an accommodation. You will also need to contact Inclusion Services at 503-823-2883 to request accommodation a minimum of 10 business days (Monday-Friday) before the start of the program. Cancellation Policy
SWCC requires 5 days notice of cancellation in order to issue a full refund. Late cancellations will be assessed a withdrawal fee & charged for each camp day through notification.
Notification: Fee:
     5+ days before camp Full refund

     After camp begins Withdrawal fee + prorated daily fee charge thru date of notification
