Erin returned to Southwest Community Center in 2015 to join Sprout Academy’s staff as a lead teacher in the 3’s classroom. She is very excited to continue working for Sprout Academy, now as the lead teacher in the 2’s classroom. While during the during the day Erin can be found teaching she switches roles in the evening as a student at Concordia University where she is pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching to become an elementary school teacher. When not working or studying, Erin can often be found outside hiking, kayaking and running, or discovering new restaurants and coffee places while spending time with family and German Shepherd Bella. Erin is very excited to continue teaching for SWCC and share love for the environment and passion for teaching with her students at Sprout Academy!

Lead 3's Teacher 2016-2017 Jacquelyn Miller

Jacqueline has been working with children in the outdoors for five years, as a preschool teacher and nature camp instructor. Last year she was a lead teacher at Sellwood Community Center’s Preschool and at a private preschool. She loves exploring the outdoors with children, and seeing their natural curiosity blossom! Inside the classroom, she is passionate about turning this same curiosity to early literacy, math, and science with hands-on, interactive learning. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys getting outside as much as she can. Her favorite activities are hiking, reading, and making music. She is looking forward to a fun year exploring our natural community at Gabriel Park with the Sprout Academy kids
