Tryon Creek

Natural areaThe Tryon Creek Watershed includes Tryon Creek State Natural Area as well as other smaller protected natural areas. Forested steep slopes dominate the watershed. Acquisition opportunities include enlarging and connecting existing natural area sites, and protecting riparian corridors and headwaters.

Regional goals:

Acquire few key land parcels to complete the connection between existing public lands and Tryon Creek State Natural Area.

Protect connections to adjacent watersheds to maintain important wildlife corridors.
