Day Camp Lunches

Kids eating lunch in the park

During the summer, Montavilla Daily Adventures Day Camps (grades 1-4) participate in the Free Federal Lunch Program in the park. Students in this camp will have the option of bringing their own lunch from home or eating one of the lunches served in the park. Typically lunches are available from the first Monday after school is out through the third week in August. Campers registered for camps at the end of the summer should confirm the lunch program end date and supply a sack lunch for their child once the federal lunch program has ended.

We encourage all preschool age (3-5 yr old) campers in the Camp Adventures program to bring a lunch from home. The playground area can get very busy at lunch time. As an extra precaution for our youngest students, we prefer to eat indoors and head outside to play once the lunchtime rush has dissipated.

Daily Destination Campers will absolutely need to bring a sack lunch each day. Since this group will be out and about town, we will not be able to ensure access to park lunches and did not plan trips around purchasing lunches. For these reasons Daily Destination campers MUST have a sack lunch from home each day.

Campers in School Break Camps should also bring a lunch every day.
