Direct contact between parents and camp counselors ensures a safe transition between camp and home as well as providing an opportunity for camp staff to touch-base directly with parents on a daily basis. For these reasons, we ask that parents (or supervising adult) sign children in and out directly with their camp counselors. Camp staff carry the sign-in/-out sheets with them as an added method of assuring an accurate head count throughout the day. Please be sure a responsible adult is available to check students in and out of camp each day they attend.
We ask for you to list up to three adults who are allowed to pick up your child from camp in addition to the parents you will list on the Camper Information Form. If an adult arrives to pick up a child that we do not know, they will be asked to show photo ID that we can match to the names on your form before we can release the child to them. If, for some reason, you would like an adult that is not on your list to be allowed to pick up your child, please send a signed note to camp with your child or let us know in person when you drop your child off for the day. Please be sure to include which date(s) this person will pick up your child. You may update your pick-up and emergency contact list as often as you need to throughout the length of camp.
Children that live close enough and are old enough to walk home on their own, will also need a signed note stating that you would like your child to walk home. Please specify if this is for a particular time period or for the full length of camp(s) in which they are registered.
