Northwest Piano Trio20 Northwest Piano Trio, TWO BENEFIT EVENTS for CMC. Hear CMC instructors Heather Mastel-Lipson (violin) and Hannah Hillebrand (cello) with pianist Susan McDaniel perform chamber music in two concerts that benefit CMC’s need-based scholarships & other programs. Children's Concert, 3 PM. Selections from Haydn, Piazzolla, Bernstein and Fauré with commentary and audience participation geared for children under age 12 and their families. Suggested donation $5 per family.

26 Duo Odéon, violin-piano duo concert with violinist Hannah Leland and pianist Aimee Fincher. 7:30 PM. The recital is a benefit for the choral group KLIROS, directed by Edson.

3 Portland Chamber Music, Immigrant Composers: Inspiring Diversity. 7:00 PM. $15 suggested donation to the artists. Programming will include works by first generation immigrant composers, including Diego Luzuriaga (Ecuadorian-American), Bright Sheng (Chinese-American), Chinary Ung (Cambodian-American), Malek Jandali (Syrian-American) and a Portland based Cuban-American composer, Antonio Frexias, among others. 23, 24, 25 March Music Moderne 2018-- MMM Festspiel: Tombeau de Claude Debussy. Fri., Sat., Sun., March 23 - 25, 2018. Free. Concert time 7:30 PM each evening (different program each night). Reception follows. Info: http://www.marchmusicmoderne.org. MMM returns with a 3-day commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Claude Debussy’s death. The festspiel takes place Friday 23 – Sunday 25 March 2018 at the Community Music Center. There will be performances by the Free Marz String Trio, Heave-Ho Productions & Cascadia Composers.
