Polka dots were traditionally worn by the gypsies of southern Spain when performing the soulful union of song, guitar and dance which was eventually called flamenco.  Melinda Hedgecorth comes direct from Sevilla, Spain, her home for the last 10 years where she dances in local flamenco tablaos and peñas as well as making special appearances in El Museo de Baile Flamenco Cristina Hoyos and in the festival Flamenco en la Frontera in Morón de la Frontera.  Jed Miley recently returned to the Northwest from New York City where he was working with Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana and Flamenco Revolución teaching, composing, and performing at venues such as Jacob´s Pillow. He has his own Flamenco Rock band Dientes de Caramelo and a new recording studio in Seattle, Pinche Studios. Daniel Azcarate returns to the Northwest fresh from Sevilla, Spain where he has spent the last year intensely studying at Fundación Cristina Heeren, performing at local tablaos, and recording his first CD Mi Camino Flamenco.
