Trainer Gails New Year's Resolution


One of my goals for the New Year is to feed my gut good bacteria!

Good bacteria thrive on veggies, while bad bacteria love sweets, so I have been replacing holiday sweets with lots of veggies. In these first few days of the new year I’ve been eating a lot of homemade veggie soup, salads jam-packed with all color of vegetables, and fruit-veggie smoothes (my favorite was a beautiful red and contained strawberries, beet, ginger, and lemon).  So far I feel great and don’t miss the sweets. A key to continuing this will be to plan out my meals a week in advance, and shop twice a week to make sure I have all the ingredients on hand.
