Director Park is an intimate community piazza reaching over 400,000 people a year with the primary goal of providing free arts and cultural experiences for everyone.  Dance, art, music, cooking, and chess - to name a few - bring families, professionals, students, local residents, and visitors alike to downtown Portland. 

The park is open to sponsorship, in-kind giving, or donations to support programs in the park. For more information, email directorpark@portlandoregon.gov or call Alicia Hammock at 503-823-8087. 


Dancing in Director Park
Imagine spending Friday nights with 600+ people dancing downtown under the artistic light canopy!  Salsa, Swing, Country Line Dancing, Tango...the possibilities are endless!

A four-week concert series on Tuesday nights reaching 800-1,000+ people per concert.


DONATIONS - Help create those "This is so cool" moments in Director Park

Director Park accepts donations to provide free, interactive, one-time programming or series in Director Park!  The possibilites are endless and as vast and diverse as Portland is!

  • $100 gets Portlanders whooping and hollering in a free, one-hour fitness class
  • $250 brings a roving musician through the park
  • $500 creates family memories with an interactive 1-hour children's performance in the park
  • $1,000 brings cello to life in Director Park with a four-week cello series
