Columbia Slough Watershed Council Stewardship Saturday - planting event
Event Types > Community Events
Join the Columbia Slough Watershed Council and Portland Parks & Recreation to plant native plants and shrubs at the Wilkes Creek Headwaters property (corner of NE 154th and NE Fremont).
Snacks and hot beverages will be provided, as well as gloves and tools.
Please wear waterproof boots if you have them! There may be opportunities to plant along the creek banks.
Please register ahead of time here.
Note - we will meet at the corner of NE 154th and NE Fremont at 9am. The work site is about 1/4 mile from our meeting site. The trail is part grass, part gravel. The work site itself is wooded and uneven. There are no restrooms or shelters on site. We will have one porta-potty available for use. Please feel welcome to contact Yoko Silk (firstname.lastname@example.org) to talk more about this site and its amenities.
