Event Types > Volunteer Opportunities/Fundraisers
Join Portland Parks & Recreation, Friends of Trees, and Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC) Rosemary Anderson High School, to continue restoration on this 2 acre property situated along the Columbia Slough. We have many hundreds of native trees and shrubs ready to plant at this special site, and need your help to make sure they are all planted in their new NE Portland home! RSVPs kindly requested.
Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and enjoy some breakfast treats and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and guidance, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes or boots – and be ready to have fun!
How do I register? All individuals and groups are kindly asked to RSVP to save your spot(s) by filling out the Friends of Trees quick registration form or emailing or calling Yoko (firstname.lastname@example.org; 503-278-1341). Registration is highly recommended but not required.
Under age 18? A signed Friends of Trees youth waiver is required for you to volunteer. We ask that youth 15 years and younger are accompanied by an adult.
Notes on accessibility: The site itself is grassy and uneven. There will be a portable restroom available for use.
