Wilkes Creek Headwaters (NE 154th and NE Fremont)

Join Portland Parks & Recreation and Columbia Slough Watershed Council for an Earth Day stewardship event at Wilkes Creek Headwaters

Join Portland Parks & Recreation, Columbia Slough Watershed Council, and the Friends of Columbia Children's Arboretum to continue restoration on this unique property which holds the headwaters of Wilkes Creek. Volunteers will have the opportunity to care for and mulch native shrubs and trees, and remove invasive plants at this beautiful site.
This event runs rain or shine! Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, coffee, tea, tools, training and gloves will be provided. Registration is requested.
Notes on accessibility: The site is about an 8 minute walk from the parking area. The site itself is uneven and wooded. Please wear water proof boots if you have them. There will be a portable restroom available for use.
Meet at 9am at the dead-end of NE Fremont at the intersection of NE 154th. We will walk to the site from there.
