Errol Heights Park (Inner Southeast) – invasive species removal & litter patrol

Join Portland Parks & Recreation and the Friends of Errol Heights to complete important ecological enhancement projects at this little gem of a Park! Planting native plants provides cleaner air for community members and cleaner water in Johnson Creek, which supports salmon and other fish. Keep your eye out for beaver, ducks, and other wildlife as you volunteer alongside other community members—everyone welcome, and no experience necessary! Wear long thick pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle, rain gear, and sunhat. Instruction, tools, gloves, water, coffee/tea, and snacks provided. Children welcome, and must be accompanied by an attentive adult.
Meet at: Harney Street entrance, just east of the intersection of SE Harney and SE 45th Ave., behind Franz bakery.
Tri-met bus: #75 (bus stop Harney/SE 45th)
Bike/Walk on the Springwater Corridor trail: www.PortlandOregon.gov/parks/springwatermap. Exit trail at the SE 45th St. entrance and then ride a short distance north to the corner of Harney Drive/SE 45th.
