Portland Parks & Recreation is creating a nature patch at Lents Park - improving habitat for birds and pollinators, adding interesting natural features to explore, and creating places to enjoy. This new natural landscape will include lots of flowering native plants, split-rail fencing, and log and boulder seating.
The nature patch will be focused in some of the (to-be-determined) underutilized areas around the community garden, playground, and dog-off-leash-area. The project is currently being planned and landscaping may take place this summer through fall.
You can be a part of bringing this urban habitat to life!
