Lents Park Nature Patch

Lents Park is the next place to get a nature patch!

The Alberta Park Nature Patch

View of the nature patch at Alberta Park at NE 22nd Avenue and Killingsworth Street.

Portland Parks & Recreation is creating a nature patch at Lents Park - improving habitat for birds and pollinators, adding interesting natural features to explore, and creating places to enjoy. This new natural landscape will include lots of flowering native plants, split-rail fencing, and log and boulder seating.

The nature patch will be focused in some of the (to-be-determined) underutilized areas around the community garden and playground. The project is currently being planned and landscaping may begin this fall.

You can be a part of bringing this urban habitat to life!

To sign up for planting event updates (happening in the fall) or submit comments, email Eric or call 503-341-0855.

We're partnering on this project with the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation and Green Lents.
