Johnson Creek – various sites (Inner & Outer Southeast) – beaver survey training
Thursday, August 8, 5:45 PM-9:00PM
Join PP&R’s community partner Johnson Creek Watershed Council as well as Metro and The Wetlands Conservancy, to learn how to safely document the presence and distribution of incredibly important ecosystem engineers: beavers! Volunteers will be surveying PP&R natural area sites along Johnson Creek and its tributaries, in addition to other public and private areas along the Creek. No experience necessary. At the end of the field season, your data will help us better understand how we can work with beavers to restore the watershed’s health and function.
