Event Types > Community Events
Come join PP&R, Columbia Slough Watershed Council, and Friends of Columbia Park to plant more native shrubs and pollinator friendly plants in the Columbia Park Nature Patch! The Columbia Park Nature Patch is a natural landscape with habitat for birds and pollinators and interesting natural features and spaces for humans to enjoy nature in the city. This new garden has lots of flowering native plants and log and boulder seating with paths throughout. The nature patch is a project of a new Portland Parks & Recreation program called Ecologically Sustainable Landscapes.
Join us at 9:45am for hot beverages and snacks! Planting will start at 10am. All tools and gloves will be provided. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a water bottle.
