Johnson Creek Watershed Wide Event (Inner & Outer Southeast Portland)
Saturday, March 7, 8:45 AM-noon + Pizza Party!
Johnson Creek Watershed Council is hosting multiple events throughout the watershed on this day. Despite being an urban creek, Johnson Creek is home to a variety of wildlife, including threatened and endangered salmon. No less than four of the sites (Mitchell Creek Natural Area, Foster Floodplain Natural Area, Leach Botanical Garden, and Tideman Johnson Park) will be PP&R-managed sites! Come join us as we plant and mulch native trees and shrubs and complete other habitat enhancement projects to improve air quality, wildlife habitat, and the beauty of our Natural Areas. Lunches provided in 2 locations (@Portland Mercado in SE Portland, and @ the Coho Shelter in Main City Park- catered by Tortilleria y Tienda de Leon in Gresham). Find your site here: http://www.jcwc.org/events/watershed-wide-2020/. Families, groups and Teams welcome!
