Cultural Practices
By core aerating and over-seeding on a regular basis, we improve the overall health and vigor of the grass. A more vigorous turf can suppress competing weeds, reducing the need to control them.
Site preparation before and after landscape installation is another common practice. This can include soil improvement, pruning of surrounding vegetation, soil grade and drainage improvement, and installation of irrigation systems. Others examples are pruning trees and shrubs to increase air circulation to reduce the likelihood of disease and insect problems, and proper fertilizing to encourage plant health and resistance to pests.
