Construction of the City of Portland's new 30,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art emergency coordination center (ECC) is moving ahead at full steam. The ECC will serve as a multi-agency coordination hub supporting on-scene response to an earthquake or other major emergency. The Portland Bureau of Emergency Managemet (PBEM) and the Portland Water Bureau will co-habitate the building on a day-to-day basis. Located next to the Portland 911 center, the ECC is scheduled for completion in 2013.
