Whether you're a professional First Responder, a volunteer emergency response team member or work for a public service agency, you'll appreciate guidance on how to better serve people with dementia in times of crisis. When it comes down to it, dementia - like other mental health conditions - requires unique care and support.
In partnership with the Alzheimer's Association and Multnomah County Emergency Management, the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management would like to invite you to a short workshop to help you understand the needs of people with dementia. The class will also provide some tools and best practices that will be useful in times of crisis and in your day-to-day activities when introduced to people with dementia.
