Mission: PCCEP works with the Mayor/Police Commissioner, Portland Police Bureau (PPB), to achieve outcomes of equitable policing, community engagement, and trust in PPB.
The Parties enter into this Agreement with the goal of ensuring that the Portland Police Bureau delivers police services to the people of Portland in a manner that supports officer and public safety and complies with the Constitution and laws of the U.S.

On December 14, 2016, Defendant City of Portland (“City”) filed with the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit a Petition for Writ of Mandamus, for a Stay of Proceedings, and for Reassignment on Remand (“Petition”).
The United States of America brought this lawsuit against the City of Portland under 42 U.S.C. § 14141. Both parties entered into a proposed Settlement Agreement, jointly moved the Court to accept / enter the Settlement Agreement as an Order of the Court.
