The Portland Housing Bureau, with Commissioners Dan Saltzman and Nick Fish, celebrated the completion of the 11X13 Housing Preservation Campaign, which retained affordability for more than 700 homes in Portland.
Partners, including Northwest Housing Alternatives, REACH CDC, Guardian Management, Cedar Sinai Park, Winkler Development Corp. and Harsch Investment Properties, joined representatives from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Network for Oregon Affordable Housing (NOAH) and Will White, former Portland Housing Bureau Director and current Senior Policy Adviser to U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley.
Among the honored guests were several residents of the 11 buildings where affordability was at risk of expiring by 2013. Because of the successful preservation of these buildings, through a regulatory agreement with the City, these buildings will remain affordable for the next 60 years.
