Mortgage & Foreclosure Fraud

As the number of foreclosures has increased, so has the number of foreclosure-related scams targeting consumers. Homeowners are urged to avoid counselors who charge an up-front fee, and should check the organization's credentials prior to signing any contracts or paying any fees.  It is also important that you be careful not to become a victim of mortgage fraud.
