Renaissance Commons is an affordable apartment building being developed as part of the City of Portland’s North/Northeast Neighborhood Housing Strategy. 189 apartments at Renaissance Commons will be available to rent through the North/Northeast Housing Strategy Preference Policy Waitlist application.
The Preference Policy gives preference to applicants that have been harmed by city actions through continuous urban renewal practices within North/Northeast Portland. Through the policy, current and former longtime residents of North/Northeast Portland will be considered for available housing units before all other applicants.
This new building is located in the Kenton Neighborhood at 2133 N Argyle Street. The apartment units are a mix of studios, and 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms for households earning up to 30 or 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). Renaissance Commons is anticipated to be move-in ready by summer 2020.
To be eligible for this affordable rental opportunity, interested applicants must apply through the North/Northeast Preference Policy waitlist. We will begin accepting applications on Monday, January 6th beginning at 9:00 AM through Friday, February 21st at 11:59 PM. The date and time that an application is received during the application period will not affect an applicant's position on the waitlist. The Preference Policy application process does not guarantee assistance or housing; rather it prioritizes households for affordable housing opportunities.
