  • Congrats to PPB's motorcycle team who were named the best trained motorcycle unit at the annual North American Motor Officers Association training conference in Yakima over the weekend. More than 100 riders from all over the Northwest competed.
In addition, several members won individual competitions: Officer Cage Byrd was named best overall BMW rider; Sgt. Bret Barnum and Officer Bill Balzer as the best pairs BMW riders; and Officer Bill Balzer was recognized as the best BMW slow rider (which is a balance competition).
  • While on patrol in North Portland, Ofc. Ortiz saw a resident out for an evening walk with their pony. She had to stop and get a selfie!
  • Officer Snodgrass showing kids his jump shot while taking a few minutes to play a pick-up game of basketball in the Parkrose neighborhood.
