Refresher Self-Defense Classes
Self-Defense Refresher Class
The refresher class is for women who have taken the Introductory WomenStrength class within the past year and would like to practice their skills. It is three hours long and is a review of the physical self-defense skills taught in the regular nine-hour class. The refresher class is purely for practice of self-defense skills and does not include the background information sections of the longer class.
Some students wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes, or if they like, wear their everyday clothes for more realism. The refresher class has a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 30, and from two to five instructors.
WomenStrength participants are encouraged to maintain their new & old skills by using visualization, practicing, and attending more refresher classes, and to improve and diversify their skills by pursuing additional training from other programs.

This class is reserved for WomenStrength students who have taken the introductory class within the past year.
WomenStrength Self-Defense Refreshers:
- are free
- are held once a quarter in different locations around the city
- are for teenage and adult women who have taken a regular WomenStrength class within the past year
- are three-hour sessions for practicing physical skills only
