The Strength Programs provide volunteers with hands on learning and real-life work experience overseeing city-wide programs. Volunteers assist with the administration and operations of programs, camps, workshops, new volunteer training and other events. We provide candidates with work experience opportunities, internships, capstone projects and in the past have partnered with numerous organizations such as WorkSource, Portland Community College and Portland State University.

WomenStrength, BoyStrength and GirlStrength are looking for confident, caring and dedicated individuals to volunteer their time to teach classes on topics related to violence prevention and empowerment self-defense. No experience necessary! We encourage men and women of all ages and backgrounds to apply.
Applications now accepted for winter-spring training on the BoyStrength, GirlStrength & WomenStrength websites. This six-week training program runs from June- July. Deadline for Application: May 1, 2015.

We need volunteers who like to work in a team and can assist with grant writing and research.
