Case #87-39035

On the evening of April 17, 1987, a resident on the 3600 block of NE 125th Avenue noticed the victim lying in the street and called 911. The victim, 58-year-old Dionisio Rios, a Hispanic man, had been shot and killed.

The victim was last seen with two unidentified Hispanic men at a North Portland 7-11, driving a 1980 maroon Oldsmobile with California license plates. The vehicle was discovered with blood in the vehicle at 718 NE 64th Avenue soon after Mr. Rios was found.

Dionisio Rios was a Mexican national who had recently arrived in the United States days earlier. An investigation revealed that he had been involved in the Mexican drug trafficking trade.
