JAMIE BROCK
Case #91-104328
At approximately 2:45 in the afternoon on November 26, 1991, two men walked into Jamie’s Place, a tavern on 1313 NE Fremont, looking to buy some peanuts. After finding that no one was present, the two men walked next door to call the police, since it was unusual that the owner, Jamie Brock, would not be present while the tavern was open during that time of the day. Police responded and found that Jamie Brock, a 57-year old African-American woman, had been shot and killed.
Police believe the motive for this murder to be a robbery, since money was missing from the cash register as well as other property from the tavern.
Mrs. Brock was a well-known business owner in the area with no known enemies and no criminal record. She was last seen approximately 30 minutes before the police were called.
