KENNETH WILSON

Case #95-90671

On September 10, 1995, at approximately 11:50 pm, a party was being held in the Best Western Hotel near the intersection of N Weidler and Williams Avenue. Kenneth Wilson, a 16-year-old African-American man, was with a friend in the parking lot next to the Best Western where they had been arguing with two unidentified African-American men. Mr. Wilson was sitting in the backseat of his friend’s car when one of the men began firing at the vehicle. After seeing that his friend had been shot, he transported Kenneth to a nearby hospital, where he died from his wounds.

Kenneth Wilson was a known Crips gang member. The shooter has been described as an African-American man, 18 to 19 years of age with a very light complexion, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build and short black hair.
