On January 19, 1989, Officers responded to 4509 SW Vermont Street, Apt#1, on the request of a welfare check. Upon Officers arriving at the location, they found the apartment to be locked. Upon entering the apartment, they found the victim, Thomas Patrick Ryan, a 42-year-old, white male, deceased due to homicidal violence.

A possible suspect driving the vehicle was described as being a white male, 20 years of age, about 5’8” tall, about 140-150 pounds with a slender build, with red hair and a red beard.
