Occur Date Qtr Quarter and year when bias crime occured
Neighborhood Neighborhood where incident occurred.
Note: Neighborhood boundaries and designations vary slightly from those found on the Office of Community & Civic Life website.
Location Type NIBRS location type where crime occurred.
Bias Category Grouping category for bias. Includes: disability, gender, gender identity, race/ethnicity/ancestry, religion, or sexual orientation
Bias Type Specific type of bias motivation.
Offense Type NIBRS Group A Offense Type. For more information on NIBRS Offenses, click here.
VictimID A unique ID assigned to victims
Victims The number of victims of bias crime on the incident. 
Victim Type The type of victim. Can be a person (individual) or an institution (business, religious organization, government, society/public, etc). 
Victim Race For victims that are individuals, the victim race. 
Victim Gender  For victims that are individuals, the victim gender. 
Victim Age Range For victims that are individuals, the victim age range. 
Business Victim For victims that are not individuals, the type of institution/business. 
OffenderID A unique identifier assigned to offenders
# of Offenders The number of offenders motivated by bias for the incident. 
Offender Status Whether an offender is identified, unidentified (at least a partial description of offender available, but name unknown), or no suspect info (no information available to describe or identify offender).
Offender Arrested For identified offenders, whether or not offender has been arrested for bias crime. 
Offender Race Race of offender. 
Offender Gender  Gender of offender. 
Offender Age Range  Age Range of offender.
Relationship to Offender (category) The relationship of the victim (individual) to the offender (identified or unidentified). Can be "Not Known to Victim" or "Known to Victim - Not Family" whenever the victim is an individual.
Crime Against The category of offense which can fall into either crimes against Persons, Property or Society
Relationship to Offender (subcategory) The subcategory of the victim/offender relationship. Can be "Victim Was Acquaintance", "Victim Was Neighbor", "Victim Was Otherwise Known", "Victim Was Stranger", or "Relationship Unknown".
