Arson at Wilson Pool

On April 27, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a fire was reported at the Wilson Pool, located at Wilson High School, 1151 SW Vermont Street. The fire involved the fiberglass slide, and damages were limited to the slides upper-most portion. Due to the slide’s age and the scarcity of parts, the slide was considered a total loss.
