The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a double homicide that occurred in Northeast Portland's Hazelwood Neighborhood.

On October 30, 2014, at 12:32 p.m., Portland Police Bureau officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Northeast 114th Avenue on the report of a possible deceased person inside the home.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and made entry into the residence where they found 65-year-old Jerry Ephrem and his wife, 65-year-old Helen Ephrem, deceased due to homicidal violence.

There is no suspect information and no known reason why anyone would want to hurt the victims.
