The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a 2015 Downtown Portland homicide.

In the early evening hours of April 8, 2015, Portland Police Bureau officers responded to Southwest Naito Parkway under the Morrison Bridge to check a man down on the ground.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the male who was deceased. Officers learned that the man was houseless and may have been involved in an altercation with another houseless man.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the victim, 60-year-old Michael Harvey, and determined that he died of homicidal violence (blunt force trauma).

The only suspect description available to detectives is a male white, 30 to 40 years old, average height and weight, likely houseless.
