Shooting Investigation Underway in Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood, One Individual Injured

On August 25, 2020, at approximately 2:50 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to a shooting call on the 5300 block of Southeast Flavel Drive. When officers arrived they found an adult male victim with several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance. The victim's medical status is unknown at this time.

The suspected shooter was located in a vehicle nearby the crime scene and taken into custody by officers. A handgun was also recovered from inside the vehicle.

The PIO is not responding to the scene.

If anyone has information about the shooting and has not been contacted by investigators, they are asked to call the non-emergency line at 503-823-3333.

An update will be provided if appropriate for the investigation.
