Armed Robbery Leads to Shooting in Montavilla Neighborhood, One Individual Injured

On Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at approximately 9:25 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to an armed robbery where a victim had been shot at a restaurant located on the 7300 block of Northeast Glisan Street.

Upon arrival on scene, officers learned two male suspects entered the restaurant and demanded money at gunpoint. A victim tried to intervene and was shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. The victim's medical status is unknown at this time.

The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival and have not been located. Officers have secured the crime scene and robbery detectives are responding to assist in the investigation.

The PIO is not responding to the scene.
