Shooting in Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood, 1 Injured

A shooting in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood has left a victim with serious injuries.

On Monday, August 31, 2020 at 4:00p.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a person shot in the 13000 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard. When officers arrived they located a victim, an adult male, with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers secured the scene and applied a tourniquet to the victim's leg. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. His current condition is unknown.

No suspect information is available and no arrests have been made.

Southeast Powell Boulevard was closed for about 2 hours during the investigation, but is now reopened.
